Everything you need to know about TCG Hub points, how to earn them & why they’re awesome.

What are points?

We’d like to introduce you to TCG Hub points. They are points you can earn (or lose) by completing common site activities.

What kind of points are there?

At the moment, there are only TCG Hub site points you can earn by completing site activities. We may introduce new point types as we develop new features and/or services.

What are points good for?

You are currently able to redeem points towards unlocking limited edition badges and will be able to use points towards other perks in the future (such as free memberships, TCG Hub merch discounts, early access to new website features, redeeming for cash, etc).

How can you earn points?

You can earn points when any of the following activities are performed (with more ways to earn being added as we add more features/services to the site):

  • 100 Points – New User Registration – Max of 1 time.

Can you lose points?

Yes, you can lose points when the following activities happen (put in place to prevent “gaming the system”):

  • -100 Points – Get a Badge Revoked
  • -1 Point – Remove an item or post from your “Likes” page
  • -5 Points – Unlike a user profile
  • -5 Points – A member unliked your profile
  • -1 Point – Remove a reaction on an activity post
  • -X Points – An admin can deduct points if your account is found “gaming the system”

What is considered “gaming the system”?

Attempting to perform site activities in an attempt exploit a way to earn points beyond performing activities in an honest manner. Examples might include but are not limited to:

  • • Repeatedly joining and leaving the same Hub multiple times.
  • • Submitting marketplace listings just to try to earn points.
  • • Repeatedly send friend requests/making friends with the same person/group of people.
